Natural Thyroid Tips, Connecting to Leptin

Protein (as in real food protein and not powder) in the morning within 30 minutes of waking up can increase your leptin sensitivity which helps set your circadian rhythm.

Magnesium moves the leptin into the cell.

Leptin determines how efficiently your body burns fat.

What is a circadian rhythm?
It simply determines how much energy you have in the morning and how deeply you sleep at night.

Strengthening circadian rhythm is a powerful tool to boost thyroid function.

You are unique in how your body functions. No one can tell you if morning protein consumption is the right path.

Every individual is different.

I call it “becoming your own boss.” I can’t tell you, your Functional Medicine Doctor can’t tell you, and it may be different for your best friend.

Only through discovery and action will you know if this is a good fit for you.

-It is more accurate than any test.

-it can only be accessed through real-life experience.

-It is time for you to take your power back.

Keep it simple. Take protein in the morning for 30 days and evaluate how you feel at the end.
BAM, you now have knowledge.

If it works, continue. If it does not, remember to leave no stone unturned in becoming the best version of you.

If this does help you experience better energy and sleeping patterns make sure not to get stuck in a rut. Among clients, I see it usually take about 6 months of concentrated effort to build that leptin sensitivity that really boosts thyroid function.
Can we talk about the process that happens when it does not work?
Don’t get discouraged. Celebrate the fact you know for sure your leptin is not responding to this. The longer you walk away from creating health when things do not work the longer it will take you to get there.
One of the reasons it does not work for people is that they do not have the magnesium levels to move the leptin into the cell.
