Facebook Live: Create Power Moments + Get More Done

I’m really excited to share this with you. Do you ever have those days that so many things get accomplished and it just flows? Then you have those days that you just feel like you’ve worked all day and you’ve gotten nothing done. Well, I want to share with you what you can do and what I do to create power moments. The more power moments I create, the more I’m able to accomplish during the day. I had a lady that came in the shop today that said,  “Kristen, how do you get done what you get done? I know how distractible you are,” which was a really nice way of saying, “I know you have shiny object syndrome.”

It got me thinking. “Kristen, what do I do, because I do have some days that I just rock it and so much gets accomplished?” I realized, the answer is simple. I create power moments. I am going to share with you what I do to create power moments. Your power moment list will be different from mine, so don’t try to make it the same. I’m just going to share with you mine to get your ideas flowing. I was so inspired by Jill today and the clarity that she’s created in her life and the purpose with which she’s moving forward with. It came because of power moments.

I have a list of things that I do that just make me feel like, oh I can conquer the world. Do you ever have those moments? Now, some of them are kind of silly. I hope you don’t laugh, you can if you want, I won’t take it personally. One of them is getting my hair done. When I get my hair done, the Braidy Lady does my hair, Whitney.  I call it a Whit day. When she does my hair it looks so good, and I feel like I can conquer the world. That is a power moment for me. That’s something that I do because I know with that feeling that I have created with a good hair day, boom, I get more done. I know, kind of silly, but it works for me. I don’t know if your hair is going to be a power moment for you. I want you to figure out what your power moments are.

I see some people hopping on, so mention if you have any thoughts or ideas of what you do to create power moments. Another power moment for me is journaling. After I’ve had a good journaling session, I have more white space in my brain and clarity. Clarity creates a power moment for me. Another power moment for me is a clean car. Now, I have to tell you, I have Bowen dreaded car disease. We live in our cars, and it can get disgusting. I just feel so shrinky and yuck. I took the time yesterday and I went and I drove it through the car wash and I detailed it. I keep these little car wipey thingys and I wiped everything down. I realized when I got back in my car that was all sparkly clean, I felt amazing. That got put on my list of power moments. I got so much more done because I was driving around in a clean car.

Now, I don’t know if a clean car will do it for you, but I want to know, what will do it for you? What will give you that feeling of, “I can do anything,” that your brain just starts to flow, and you get things done? Another one for me is after working with Amy Atkinson. Oh my gosh, can we talk about clarity and power moments? That woman is a power force herself, and she just leaks it to me when I go in to have an appointment with her. She does cranial sacral, and I love it. I had an appointment with her last week and created a power moment. I got so much accomplished. Come on, tell me, what are your power moments?

Creating those power moments when you feel like you can conquer the world. Another one for me, and I don’t know why this is so hard for me. The way I grew up, you got out of bed, you made the bed. I don’t always do that now, and sometimes my bed doesn’t get made. When I’m in my bedroom and there’s order to my bedroom, and my bed is made and the pillows look all beautiful and inviting, that is a power moment. If I go about my day and make sure that I’ve just created one or two power moments, those help me move forward and it’s like I become this force to be reckoned with because I feel so good.

Creating health is about taking your power back. It’s not about leaking it to a foot zone therapist. It’s not about leaking it to your doctor. It’s not about leaking it to your supplement. It’s about saying, “I recognize how powerful I am, and I am tapping into my own power and creating that power and pushing it out this way.” Because, when the world pushes this way, that’s not health. That’s not power. That’s you collapsing because all the things that are coming at you, emails and tweets and Instagram and Facebook and all that stuff.

When you create it here and you push out, that’s a power moment, and that’s what’s going to get you healthy. I would love for you to post. Just pop on and say, “Oh my gosh, this is my power moment,” because yours might not be a clean car or a good hair day. Another power moment, this one’s kind of funny, and I didn’t even realize it until just now. I went lipstick shopping with a daughter of mine, and she loves really bright lips. She can pull them off, so we were trying on all these lipsticks and different things. Good lipstick can be a total power moment. Now, it is for me. I don’t know if it is for you.

I want you to find your power moments because when you start creating your day, you also create health. There’s a pattern that goes hand in hand. Today as Jill and I were talking on Facebook about Project Radiate, which Project Radiate is about a woman so healthy that people lean in because they can see it and they want to be a part of it. That woman who feels so good and so amazing starts lifting other people around her. Jill leaned in and became a part of Project Radiate. I want you to also, I want you to lean in.

I want you to wake up with so much energy that you feel so good and you have all these amazing ideas. You just go about creating all day long, because when you create you’re lifting other people around you. It’s not just about you. It’s about the people you love that you’re connected to. When you have power moments, they feel it and then they get excited and they lean in. Then you’re creating with other people, and it creates this whole tribe of people creating power moments, health, and doing great things. It changes your family, then it changes your community, and it just starts changing the whole world. It all started because you did one little teeny power moment and recognized, “Dang, I feel really good. I feel strong. I feel capable.”

Sabrina says, “I love that I really needed this at the exact moment. I’ll have to pay more attention to my power moments.” When I leave Whit, now, today was not a Whit day, so please do not take my hair and think Whit did it. Today is a Kristen day. I did my best, but it’s not as good as when Whit does it. When Whit does it, I leave that chair and I feel strong, beautiful and powerful. When you feel like that, you can do anything.

I love what Sabrina said. She’s not sure what hers are, but she’s going to tap into them. She’s going to start noticing. When we’re disconnected from what creates power, we’re disconnected from our health, we’re disconnected from our wealth, we’re disconnected from people we love, we’re disconnected from support, we’re disconnected from all sorts of things. The fact that Sabrina’s going to start noticing and connecting back into when she feels powerful, is going to make a difference that will land her in a completely different place. Sabrina, I’m celebrating. Woo hoo! When you find out, if you remember, come back and throw it up in the chat section, because other people’s power moments won’t be what mine is.

Another one for me, a good pedicure. When I look down at pretty toes, boom, I love it. I don’t know why it does, but it does. Notice when you’re creating those power moments, because when you can create a power moment, you can create health. You can do it. If I can do it, anybody can do it. Math is not my strong point, spelling is not my strong point. It doesn’t mean you have to know rocket science and understand exactly how your body works. It means you have to learn how to create power moments.

Then, once you start creating them and you create more and more and more, and you just start moving forward, moving forward, moving forward, and then all the sudden you’ve been in a power moment all day long, and you’ll realize, “Look at all the stuff I did today because I am creating my own energy. I’m not running around trying to find it. I’m not running around trying to find the perfect supplement, find the perfect protocol.” There is no perfect supplement and there is no perfect protocol. Your health starts with you creating power moments here.

Jill, you inspired me today, and I hope you start noticing what your power moments are. Once you do and you start recognizing them, then you can start creating more, and the synergy just happens. Then all the sudden you wake up one morning and you realize, “Oh my gosh, I am feeling awesome,” because health starts here. Now, there’s great things we can add to it, but it doesn’t matter. I have so many women that come in and say, “I’m doing all of this and I’m eating all of this perfectly and I still don’t feel good,” because they started in the wrong place. You have to start here. Facebook Live: Feminine Energy + Mind Mapping

Oh, awesome, we’re live. Rachel had the best question, “Kristen, you’re saying that feminine energy isn’t about making lists. You’re operating in the wrong system if you’re making lists and it actually walks you away. What in the heck do I do if I don’t make the list so I don’t forget things?”
Today, we had the most powerful, amazing breakthrough as a team here at Living the Good Life Naturally, one of those days that you almost want to introduce yourself as a different person, because there’s been so much growth. It was beautiful. There was moments where it was hard. We did it. You may have hard moments in your life as a family in your business, in your relationships. Mind mapping can help create more clarity and as you create more clarity, you have better connections.
So, I wanted to show you our mind map. I’m standing in front of our glass whiteboard? Glass board? It’s like the old-school whiteboards, but it’s glass. We love it. We have a ton of different colors. My cortisol level had been going through the roof. Remember, when your cortisol goes up because you’re frustrated, you’re leaking your magnesium.
We’ve had a huge growth surge here at Living the Good Life Naturally. Massive. What I was doing wasn’t meeting the needs of the company and the team to get done what needed to get done. I was so frustrated, and it was coming out all sorts of sideways. We needed better clarity. So today, in our team meeting, this is what we created behind us because I don’t want to soak every day in magnesium. I want to soak as needed and live a great big, full life. I don’t want to soak in magnesium, be a drama mama, soak in magnesium the next day, be a drama mama, and lose it all through cortisol.
Let’s see, I think if I stand this way, can you get a visual of that? We could have made this into a list. I see some people hopping on! Tell me where you’re from, what your name is. I’d love to know who’s here, because if you ask me questions, that’ll help guide where this little time together that we have is going. Behind me is this glass board. Now, if we were operating out of a mail operating system, we would have made a to-do list. Here’s what I’m convinced of, a to-do list supports good girl energy. Good girl energy is where you have to be perfect to get all the things done, so that you can deserve more health, more money, a better job, all of those good things. It’s a lie. It’s a broken lie. You don’t have to be a good girl to deserve the things that you want. When you make a list and you check those things off, you’re actually trying to prove to yourself, “See, world? I’m good enough.”
And here’s what I know. You are good enough right now. You don’t have to check it off a list. When we’re operating in a linear list, we’re operating in a male operating system. Now, we have Mac and PCs at the shop. If I’m on a PC, and I’m using Mac commands, it doesn’t matter how good my intention is. It doesn’t matter how hard I try. It doesn’t matter how perfectly I do it. It’s not going to work. When we’re operating from a male operating system, it’s not going to work for us, because we’re wired differently.
I wish team was still here so they could be a part of this, because this was a collaborative effort. One of my frustrations was, we weren’t getting stuff done that needed to be done, and there was all these things swimming around in my head and I’d say, “We need to do this! We need to do this!” I’d run around and I’d get frustrated. I didn’t know how to handle it. I didn’t know how to say without sounding like this witchy boss. It was just so bad. So what we did is we created a mind map. Can you see all of that?
Whitney created this. That’s her, because mine would just be writing. We created this mind map of all the things that needed to happen. What we did in our mind map is we talked about what’s the most important thing that drives everything; our health, our relationships, our ability to serve here at Living the Good Life Naturally. We realized for us right now, where we’re at, it’s our voice. I lost my ability and my voice to communicate clearly what I needed. There was no amount of magnesium on planet Earth to make up for the cortisol drama I was creating. So we realized at the core, we needed to know what’s something that drives this and connects all of it? It’s our voice. Our voice gives us the ability to serve and communicate and create clarity.
Hey there! Oh, Anne, how are you, good friend? It’s so good to see you. So, we realized it was with our voice that all of this was connected to. If I didn’t have a voice to communicate and team didn’t have a voice to communicate back, then none of this would work. So we put voice at the middle.
Oh, Lisi says, “I’m from Mount Pleasant.” Oh my gosh! Oh, do you love my hair? Thank you. I gave my husband a gift. I had a pixie cut, and I grew it out. The Brady lady does my hair, and she actually did it today. I love Brady lady days, they’re the best kind of days, so thank you so much.
Up here, we put a quote that, “Hold the vision, trust the process.” Because when you get to a new level, you have to trust that the things you need will come up to serve you at that new level. I loved this reminder of, “Hold the vision, trust the process.” Then down here in the corner, it says, “The comeback is always stronger than the setback.” Because today at team meeting, we kind of had a little bit of a breakdown. Well, my perception on it just felt very hard. We always want to remember that the comeback is always stronger than the setback. We had a setback, but we’re better. We’re back, and we have more clarity of purpose and deeper connection as a team, if that’s even possible, because I love those women.
Those are things that anchor us. We need anchor spots on our mind mapping. We have our middle, that core that’s voice. Then we have holding the vision, trusting the process. Then down here, Whitney put a great quote, “The comeback is always stronger than the setback.” Then, over in this corner, let’s see if you can see that. It says, “Focus.” Focus. That one’s kind of for me, ’cause if you haven’t noticed, I can kind of go lots of places. I need to train my brain to be focused to follow through. As what I was doing, I was calling out all of these things. They couldn’t get all of that and get it done. I need to be focused and communicating what needs to be done to serve more people, which we’re really excited to do!
Those are kind of our cores, and then as what we did is we all did a brain dump. Okay, take all the things that are inside our brains, and we got them out. Oh my gosh, my arm’s getting tired. This is good exercise. For example, we have right here Project Radiate. Oh, I could cry. I’m not going to. I’ll save you my tears. This is my heart and my passion and my soft place to land. We’re prepping for Project Radiate because it opens up in November. We need some things to set that up.
Let’s see. Oh, over here. One of the things that’s happening is Amazon gift cards. We need to set up some gift cards, because people are wanting to come in and buy gift cards, and we don’t have it set up. That needs to happen. So it got out of my brain and on my mind map. Our More Money Now class. Tomorrow is our last day of our More Money Now, and it’s been a game-changer. I’m a different person today than I was yesterday because of the women that I’ve been hanging out with in More Money Now.
Theresa, love you so much. Oh, from Mount Pleasant. I love that, I missed that you were from Mount Pleasant. So, the More Money Now, I want to update that video, because the video that’s on the More Money Now for the class that we just finished? The video we have on there now does represent what the More Money Now class in 2018’s going to be. Because the 2017 More Money Now, we created basic awesome sauce together. Everybody leaned in. I’ve never had a class where so many people leaned in and created action, and showed up. It was amazing.
I realized in that More Money Now down there, the video that’s on the website doesn’t represent what the class is anymore. I have more clarity on it because of the women I’ve been hanging out with for the last 30 days. When it was just in my head, I was frustrated because it wasn’t getting done. But because we created this mind map of all the different things …
Oh! See up here on snap? I love Snapchat. Does anybody else love Snapchat? Are you guys on Snapchat? I’m going to do some meal planning prep on Snapchat. Now, it may not exactly fit for you and your family, but I bet you can take away some good ideas from it. I’m going to do that on Snapchat. We’ve got it up here, a couple things that we need to tweak on our Snapchat.
Now, I’m going to stand out here so you can see all of those things. Getting all of those things out of my brain, onto the board in a mind map, created white space in my brain. It’s interesting. A little TMI, my weight has gone up, up, and up and up. I’m eating good, I’m exercising, all that stuff. Guess what? Had nothing to do with my eating, my exercise, or my supplements. Had to do with my stress level. My stress levels were through the roof because we hit a new level. I needed better clarity, and our mind map did that. I feel amazing. My energy increased just getting this up.
Now, you may not want to do it on a whiteboard or a glass board. It may not be what you put yours on, but you could do it on a piece of paper and get all of the things that need to be done in a mind map and give yourself some anchors. The anchors are crucial. So voice. We realized if I’m not using my voice, if team isn’t using their voice to lift and create clarity, it doesn’t matter what’s happening. It’s not going to happen. For us, voice is crucial. We put that anchor of hold the vision and trust the process. We all needed to trust each other today that we could make it through a hard conversation, and we not only made it through, we thrived. It was beautiful.
So maybe with your family, maybe you’re stuck in some frustration with your family. Get it out on a mind map. It will create white space in your brain, then new ideas can come in, and the new ideas are amazing! We came up with so many ways to answer the questions that people ask us to serve at a deeper level. That’s what Living the Good Life Naturally is all about and it’s because we did our mind map.
Oh, Erin! I’m so glad it helped you! I’ll pull out again. That’s our mind map. It was literally a brain dump, and it created so much less stress inside my body. I have felt like I was just going to pop trying to meet all the new things I’m supposed to be doing, and Living the Good Life Naturally didn’t feel so healthy. It is now, because I got it out in that mind map. A mind map is a feminine way to open up space in your brain. If you don’t open up space in your brain, how will you get the insights that you need if your brain is so jammed up with all that stuff?
Okay, people, here’s what we need to do. Martha just hopped on. I have known Martha since I was probably 17 years old. Martha, I still make your chicken enchilada recipes. But let me tell you this, Martha; they’re not as good as yours. We should have a Facebook party and all get together in the same place. I’ll do dishes, I’ll do prep, if Martha will cook chicken enchiladas, because they are the best chicken enchiladas you’ve ever had on the planet Earth. Oh my gosh, so good to see you, Martha.
Now, when I say to a woman, “A list isn’t feminine energy,” her claws can come out. So I wanted to show you this is a much more powerful way to work in your operating system than a list is, and it creates white space. Do you see how Whit connected everything on there? Boom boom boom boom boom with the dots? She connected. Oh, like today. I call it a Whit day when I get my hair and makeup done. Whit does that for me. A Whit day is connected to my voice because I have power days when I have hair and makeup done, and it strengthens my voice. Now, does that mean I can’t have a voice if Whit’s not doing my hair and makeup? No way. It’s just one of those boosts for me that I really enjoy, and it’s connected to the voice.
See all these little black dots and lines? That’s how we connected everything back to our core, our center. That’s our voice, our ability to serve and educate people, and help them get healthy faster. That’s what we want to do. We want to teach you all the shortcuts that we’ve learned and help you get there faster. If we don’t have our voice, that’s not going to happen.
So for example this says money class graphic. Our old money class, the graphic didn’t match what the money class has become. I needed Whit to update the money class graphic, and you should see it. Our mind map is so beautiful. Has a pair of shoes on it, it totally represents feminine energy and women working with how they heal their relationships with their money. We got the clarity because of our mind map.
We did this one as a team. So this one happened as a team. You can do them on a personal level. You can do them on a family level. Mind mapping is such a powerful way to bring your cortisol levels down. Let me tell you this, so you understand, because I so want you to understand. There is no supplement, there is no diet, there is no protocol, there is nothing that offsets high cortisol stress in your body. Nothing. There’s nothing you can do to offset that. You can help make it better, but this last two weeks with my stress through the roof, I could have swum in magnesium, ’cause we get the containers. Did I tell you magnesium’s on sale? That high cortisol when you get stressed, when you feel frustrated, and when you get angry, causes you to leak your magnesium out through your urine. Sorry TMI, but that’s what happens. Cortisol goes up, magnesium gets pushed out, and your foundation gets annihilated. Understanding that magnesium mindset is crucial. It’s more than just soaking friends. It’s more. You want 100% accountability for walking away from that stress, these last two weeks, I didn’t walk away from it. It just bubbled and bubbled and boiled and came out sideways, and I made decisions that weren’t good and hurt the very people that I love the very most. So today, this was our breakthrough. It was amazing. It was life-changing, and it’s going to help me hold on to my magnesium, because I stepped into a better magnesium mindset.
I want to know. Tell me, do you make lists? Are you a list person? Does this make sense to you about the feminine energy and the operating system, or are you like, “What in the heck? Oh my gosh, what is this woman talking about?” So does that make sense to you about the feminine operating system and operating in the correct system to lower your stress levels? When you make a list, I’m 100% convinced you’re trying to prove that you’re good enough to deserve more money, to deserve more health, to deserve more connection, to deserve more friendships, to deserve more of all those good things. A list, you’re trying to prove. You don’t have to prove it, you can have all of those things right now.
Here’s my challenge to you. If you are a woman, if you want better health, if you want better energy, if you want to hold on to the magnesium that you’re soaking in, dump your dang list. Get rid of it, and switch over to mind mapping. It’s a game changer. It’s amazing. It’s incredible. Oh, Anne, I’m so glad that makes sense to you! Anne, tell me. Erin, if you’re still on? I just invited somebody to come on, ’cause she could share some insights.
I want to know if you’d be willing to walk away from your list. Do you ever feel like you’re a perfectionist? Does that come up for you? Do you feel like you have to do it perfect and if you can’t do it perfect, you don’t do it and you don’t get healthy? Do you feel like if you can’t do it perfect, so you just walk away from it? If that comes up for you, in my opinion, it’s good girl energy. You have to prove that you deserve to be healthy, and that’s like a lie in your head. Letting go of that list steps you into a more feminine operating system, and guess what that’s that word for a feminine operating system is called? There’s one word for it. Love. It’s just love. That’s a feminine operating system. Love. Loving yourself, loving other people, and doing it more. Love.
Creating that mind map is day and night difference from trying to prove that you got your list done, to prove that you’re good enough, worth enough to be healthy or have more money or have better friendships or have a better marriage. You don’t have to prove it, because you’re worth it right now. Remember that L’Oreal commercial? I’m worth it. Yeah. They nailed it. You are worth it.
Theresa says, “Oh, that’s me, and I have huge cortisol issues, and the list-maker. Changing to mind mapping right now.” Theresa, I kind of quit talking about it. I’m a people pleaser (and oops, sorry, I didn’t mean to knock that) I’m trying to get everything set up here. Theresa, I quit talking about it because people were getting so angry. Then I realized, oh, wait a minute. They’re getting angry about it because it’s a truth bomb. Truth will walk us toward the very thing that we want, but our subconscious wants to keep us the same. So the subconscious starts getting frustrated and throwing up walls. I realized, wait a minute. Being a people pleaser is not using my voice. Remember, voice was at the core. So find out what’s at the core of your map? What’s at the core? What drives it all? If I’m not tapped into my voice and willing to talk about it, then how are we going to create the change that we want to?
So, I shut up like, okay, I’ll talk about other stuff that doesn’t make anybody upset. That’s good girl syndrome. Good girl syndrome is when we shut up, sit down, look pretty, and spend all your money on clothes and makeup. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love clothes and makeup. You don’t have to love that to be in feminine energy. I personally do. But the shut up and sit down and don’t make waves? I’m not buying into that. Because that spiked my cortisol, because I knew I had something more to share. I let other people stop me, ’cause I wanted to please them. So Theresa, the fact that you leaned in on that gave me evidence. I need to be talking about this more. Thank you for helping me find evidence that I need to use my voice and I’m safe to do that.
“I saw your video last night, and I feel like you’re speaking directly to me.” Here’s my goal. I hope one day, you and I can sit down and have lunch together. Any time I meet somebody on social media, my goal is and one day we meet in real life. I would love to. “Total good girl over here. I’ve always had trouble connecting with my femininity. Always been a self-proclaimed tomboy.” There’s nothing wrong with that! You can be a total tomboy. I have a sister that goes to Walmart every year, I think she gets two pairs of shoes, exactly the same, and wears those. She can still operate from her feminine energy. I’m not saying you have to like shoes and makeup. I personally do. You don’t have to. You can be who you are and what you like, because feminine energy is coming from a place of love. You have more love to offer yourself and more love to offer other people.
I thank you for giving me another little piece of evidence that even though some people unfollowed me and sent me some comments and things, I can’t let them determine what I talk about. Especially because I’m in Project Radiate and More Money Now. Those are my two programs right now that are running. Lives are changing. Not just a little bit. We’re talking massive transformation. This is the key topic that we’ve been talking about. The deeper we go, and the more clarity we get, the more amazing things they’re creating. It’s breathtaking, so I’m not going to stop talking about this. I’m not. Thank you for giving me evidence on the days that I want to be small, and just do this beat myself up, sit there, be good and not make a difference in the world. Thank you so much. I’m so glad that we got to connect.
Oh, you are so very welcome. I want to ask this, does it make sense to you about the magnesium and the cortisol? Once you understand that process, it’s a game changer. The foundation is to soak in magnesium. Your body needs more magnesium to sleep better, to have better hormone function. If you don’t buy into the magnesium mindset, and if you’re someone who says, “Soaking hasn’t done anything for me,” I know that we have a mindset issue and we need to combine the two. We need to combine both of those.
For example, the last two weeks, I lost my voice in being able to communicate what I needed. I don’t want to be that witch of a boss. I love team and I am the boss.I was losing my ability to communicate and just walking around so frustrated. I could have soaked five times a day and not moved my magnesium numbers. I had to tap into my voice. I found as women, when you tap into your voice, who you really are, cortisol levels come down, and that’s so amazing.
Okay. “Opposition is directly proportional to the level at which you’re creating change.” Absolutely. I believe that. I forgot it, though. It wasn’t connected to my heart on this one, because that people pleasing pattern came up in the middle and I wanted to please those people. And let me tell you, as the business grows, I get more of those. I’m so grateful. I am truly grateful, because when I get them, it reminds me, “Kristen, you have a choice. Are you going to be a people please, or are you going to step into your voice and share those things that you are passionate about?” Today, I stepped into my voice. Here’s the really beautiful thing. Team Good Life allowed me the ability to be loved imperfectly where I was at. That was a beautiful gift that I was given today from them. It was beautiful and life changing.
I absolutely believe in duality. I just forgot it. That pattern of people pleasing came up and disconnected me from my voice to my heart. Today with Team Good Life, I was able to break free because of the love that surrounded me and the fact that they were willing to love me even though I’d really messed up. They just loved me. They allowed me that flow to forgive me, to truly put it behind us and to move forward. Because they gave me that gift, we have better clarity of purpose. I have more joy and more ideas that are coming to my head. Tomorrow morning’s Project Radiate? Oh my gosh, I cannot wait to go there. I have had this influx of total inspiration and ideas of what we can do to help all of those women who meet every week to create those things that they want.
So, mind mapping? I hope you’re sold on it. I hope you think “ Hm, maybe I might want to change how I do things.” Because if you’re not experiencing what you want, you have to change something to get something different. Mind mapping is a simple way to step into more feminine energy, and it’s amazing.
Oh. Now, I do have to say this. That mind map? Whitney just whipped that out. That’s how she writes. My mind map, if that were me doing all that writing, it would not be cute little lipstick tubes and that kind of stuff. Mine would just be words. Some of you will compare and contrast your mind map to what Whit did, and you’ll want cute little graphics and things. I can’t do that and I’m okay with that. My mind map is just words but I still follow the principle. The principle is find your core, what drives you. Put that in the middle.
For us right now at Living the Good Life Naturally, it’s voice. It’s voice, and remembering that the outcome is stronger, more powerful and more beautiful than the setback. We did experience a setback today, but we came out of it stronger, with more love, and with more connection. I don’t even know how I could love team more. My capacity has increased because of the mind map. My ability to hold onto this magnesium has increased because of a mind map. You need a pen and a piece of paper. Now, if you want to get artistic, you could use crayons or markers. We use that glass board. But just do it.
Some of you have said, like Theresa was so gracious and leaned in and said, oh, this is making sense to me. If it’s speaking to you, here’s my challenge to you. We have currency in our time, our energy, our money, and our health. There’s a currency. If you will create something on your mind map in the currency of the day that you learned about it, your flow will start to increase. As women, we don’t have to go search for things. We don’t have to go out looking. Things come to us and things flow as we’re in that feminine energy. But it’s when we create action in the currency of the day that we learned it that that feminine energy starts to flow.
Before you go to bed tonight, just grab a piece of paper and a pen and start putting some things from your brain that need to happen on a piece of paper. Not linear, but just all around. That can help you step into that currency and hold onto your magnesium. Now, we’ve had a lot of questions on magnesium. Our store hours are 10:00 to 5:00, Monday through Friday. Kristen:  So excited that you are here, because today I wanna go deeper into your thyroid. So, as you hop on, let me know where you’re from, and have you got thyroid stuff going on. Thyroid is affecting more people than it’s not.
So, hair loss can be connected to thyroid. Cold hands and feet can be connected to thyroid. Fatigue can be affected to thyroid. Putting weight on around our middle is a direct result of thyroid. Brittle nails, headaches, memory loss, depression, PMS, getting really intense emotional changes before your period starts, hot flashes and night sweats in menopause, that weight gain, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Did you realize … 
 The downside of Facebook live is you can see me, but I can’t see you, and I didn’t wear a great top for this. So, is what I want you to do, raise your hand, and let me know. Do you you have thyroid symptoms, with your blood work looking like all is well?  There’s no thyroid problems showing up, but you’re exhausted, and you can’t drop the weight, and you’ve got  poor memory.
So number one, I just finished up some intensive testing with some new things that I’ve learned, because you can take everything that you’ve learned, and if it doesn’t apply to real people, it’s not current, and doesn’t help. But it was a game changer, for real life people. number one …   So number one, I want you to realize, that you have such a great  tool. You have access to a tool that will help you understand, at a deeper level, what’s happening with your thyroid.
And here’s the tool. I saved the little paperwork on it. So, it’s a thermometer, but it’s a very specific thermometer, and I’ll put the link up to it. It’s an Exergen Temporal Scanner, and it’s it the TAT-2000C home model. And the reason that, I think, every home should have one of these, is I’m seeing babies come in with mucin. Mucin is, a glycol protein, but think of it like karo syrup. It’s like goo in your body, and if your thyroid’s not functioning, you’re creating mucin. And it’s because your temperature is off. So this tool is one of the most powerful tools to give you feedback, to how your thyroid is working.
Now, we used to use, do you remember the old school mercury thermometers? But they pulled those, because the mercury wasn’t safe. So then we switched over to the beep thermometer, but it didn’t give you as accurate of a reading. Well, this one, in my testing that we did with a group of women, this was the most accurate. And it takes it, you take it behind your ear. So you’re going to take your temperature behind your ear, because the blood flow right there is really strong. And you want to take it first thing in the morning. So, is what you’ll do, is you’ll have this by your bedside. If you’re wrapped up all toasty in your covers, because I know where I’m at, here in California, it’s getting cold. It’s nippy in the mornings, and I know Utah is too. And I don’t know where you’re from, but you might have cold mornings too, and so we tend to wrap up in covers, and that’s going to change our body temperature.
So, take those covers off, and allow your body to regulate for three to four minutes, and then you’ll take this, and you press this little button, and hold it behind, right behind your ear, and because of the blood flow that goes by in the artery, it’s a great feedback tool for your thyroid. That T4 to T3 conversion, T4 is like the Eeyore  hormone. It’s just slow and steady. T3 is like Tigger.  T4 gets converted into T3. That’s the first place that our thyroid goes off, and that T4/T3 conversion, determines your temperature. It determines a lot of things about your temperature. And so, using that, and knowing, and getting that feedback from your body, is crucial, because, if your temperature … Now, the majority of people, their temperature will be too low. Some will be too high. This is focused on those people who their temperature is too low. 
If your temperature is too low, you get sick more often, because your body can’t activate processes to keep your immune strong. If your temperature is too low, your uptake of serotonin, that feel good neurotransmitter, so that depressions kicks in. If your temperature is too low, you start putting weight on. If your temperature is too low, you start producing mucin, M-U-C-I-N, and it’s like karo syrup in your body, and so then your blood pressure goes up, because your body has to press everything to get through that sticky goo of mucin.
So we talked about our tool, knowing your temperature, and it is going to be such a tool, if you’ll use it correctly, in that, for example, you kind of need to keep a few notes. In fact, a couple of calls ago, and I can’t remember her name. I apologize. She was so excited, because she had made the connection of going to bed late, and her thyroid function. And so, if you’ll kind of just keep a little track of what’s happening in your day, what you were eating, what time you went to bed, with your temperature, you’ll start to see things that are bumping your temperature up. And it’s really powerful, because when that temperature is where it needs to be, is when you feel good, and your body works, and you can access that energy that allows us to create our dreams.
So, now, here’s what I want you to do to see if you have mucin in your body. Super, super simple, on that deltoid muscle, so boom, right here. Pinch on that deltoid muscle, and you should be able to grab skin.  Who can pinch? And can you grab just a skin? Now, some of you are going to be grabbing, it will feel like fat and muscle, and that’s an indication that you have mucin in your body, has nothing to do with your fat ratio.  That little skin test is all about how your thyroid is functioning,  and it’s crucial that we get that thyroid number up.
Oh, okay, does the yellow face mean “Oh my gosh! I have that!”? So tell me what that yellow face means. I’m interpreting. My interpretive emoji means yellow face means, “Oh my gosh!”
Janet says, My husband loves to give me a love pinch, and it hurts me because of this. Janet, it’s a reminder, every time he loves on you, it’s a reminder that your thyroid is not functioning, and we’ve got to boost it up. Shelly says, “Yes, I have that.” So, our body gives off signals when things aren’t working. We need to understand the communication level, and what is going to make it work. So, you can go to your kids and get their early morning body temperature, not in the afternoon, because your body’s already moved around, and do you see the feedback that you can get, to determine how their thyroid is functioning… Did you know ADD is driven, your attention span, is also driven by the functionality of your thyroid? And so, if we’re sending kids to school with a low functioning thyroid, we’re not putting them in the best situation possible.
Alison’s husband, David, is a trainer at Orange Theory Fitness, and  muscle is good. We want good, strong, developed muscles, because that helps our hormones. Lifting weights is powerful for hormone function. It’s one of the best things you can do, but pinching there, on that deltoid, it’s not muscle if you can’t pinch, it’s one of the first places that your body starts to put mucin.
Oh, let’s talk about type two diabetes. So, a lot of women … Oh, Penny, it’s that thyroid function. So, a lot of women, the mucin will actually start to change the shape of their face. It will change the shape of their face. And so, they’ll start to get mucin under here, under their chin, and it’s not weight, it’s mucin. And when we get that thyroid cleaned up, the underneath here starts to change its shape again. And, a lot of times, they’ll get diagnosed with metabolic x syndrome, which is a blood sugar and insulin, and not being sensitive to the insulin, when in actuality, it’s just a thyroid issue, and you’ve got too much mucin going on in your body.
So, super simple way to determine if, what you’re doing, is helping you. But here’s the thing, I don’t see the mucin clearing up for about four to six months. And so, it’s not something that you start doing it today, and boom, it’s gone tomorrow. And sometimes we want instant feedback. Like, I’ve been doing this for three days, and it should be better. It’s not one of those things.
Oh, Linda, I don’t know. Give me a heart if you can hear me. I think that’s the fastest way for feedback. Can you give me a heart if you can hear me? Oh, maybe not. Oh, Shelly says I can hear. Oh, okay, we’ve got lots of heart going on. So, Linda, oh, I guess she can’t hear me, but check the settings on your phone. Oh, okay, thank you. Hearts are the best way for … so I don’t have to wait.
Anyways, so, type two diabetes, oh my goodness, you can see and trace that line back to sluggish thyroid function, sluggish thyroid function. So, oh, the other place, if you’ve got kind of a hump in between your shoulders, and you can’t see the definition right back here, in between your shoulders, that’s that mucin. That’s the mucin again. And so, we’ve got to get that thyroid functional.
Excellent, Linda. I hope that will help, going out and going back in. If anybody else has a little tip for Linda, throw that up in the comments section. Oh, so Susanne says, “I thought the same thing, Linda, and noticed my sound was turned down.” Yeah, sometimes it can just be those little things, so thank you so much for that tip.
So, we start, the start place it starts to show, is it starts to show on that deltoid muscle, and then, for women, ’cause that’s mainly who I work with, is women, will start to see it here. And their face will get very round. It’ll get very round, and you’ll see it under here.
No, Kelly, it’s not your posture. It’s not. It’s a lack of thyroid function. Now, your posture will change, and it will get better. It’s not something that goes away overnight though. And so, I want people to understand that you need some tools. You need to be, in my opinion, you need to be monitoring your body temperature. So, for example, I know that late nights really stress out my thyroid. I can’t do a lot of late nights. Now, I’m better than I used to be. But I know, because I’ve tracked it, and I can tell. And so, I want you to know about the tools, so we’ll put this link in for this tool. I want you to understand about the mucin, and it tends to start here on your deltoid. Now, it’s not always exactly, but a lot of the times, it’s starts here on your deltoid, and then it will go to under your chin, right here, and then it will go to that … right at the top of where your shoulder blades are.
Shawna says, “I have all these issues. I just called that my double, triple chin.” It’s thyroid function, and it goes away as we get that thyroid functional. So let’s talk about some things, to get the thyroid functional, because, I mean, look at all the things that it determines, our body temperature, our energy, how we sleep, our hormones, our sex drive, our ability to think, our ability to concentrate, so many things. Oh, aches and pains in our body, if you have a lot of aches and pains, you have a lot of mucin in your body, could be that you have a lot of mucin.
And, oh, remember my little disclaimer, I’m not a doctor, never am going to be a doctor. I am someone who is on a quest for optimal health, and I love sharing what I’ve learned, and so you need to take this information, and determine if it’s right for you. So I always need to put that disclaimer there, because I’m seeing a lot of people, that I’m not familiar with their names, and then seeing lots of good friends too.
So, that mucin is an indication that thyroid is not working well. It will affect how you metabolize sugar. It will affect your blood pressure, because your body is going to have to push that blood pressure, if you have a lot of that mucin. And so, here’s the deal, little kids can have mucin, little ones, can have mucin, little ones. So, we can take their temperatures, we can check their arms, and determine if they need some thyroid boosts, if we need to do some things to boost the thyroid.
Okay, so Julie says, “Aches and pains could be joint pain. I have lots of joint pain.” Thyroid can be a component of driving the joint pain. It’s not going to clear it all up, and there can definitely be other things, but thyroid does play a role in that, plays a role in everything. If you map everything, any disease, thyroid plays a role in it, and so an optimal thyroid is crucial. In fact, some of the latest testing that’s come out, has shown that 90% of us, as Americans, are not converting our T4 into active T3, even close to what needs to be happening. So it’s one of those things that’s just affecting so many people, and once we understand what the signs are, then we can step in with some action, to create something different.
So, let’s talk about adrenals and thyroid. So, I don’t know if any of you can remember this, but I don’t know if you’ve even been to Salt Lake City. Salt Lake City, in downtown, used to have the horses and the carriage rides. I loved them, loved, loved, loved, loved them, and they don’t have them anymore, but they used to. So I want you to imagine two horses pulling a carriage ride, and if you want to imagine downtown Salt Lake City, that’s great too, but two horses pulling that carriage. And one horse we’re going to call the adrenal horse, and the other horse we’re going to call the thyroid horse. And they go together. Well, is what happens is, as your adrenals get tired, they start to not be able to pull their weight, and so the thyroid has to kick in and pull the adrenals. But then the thyroid horse gets really tired, and it stops working also. So, it’s really important that, when we look at thyroid, we look at it through the filter of two horses. Does that make sense?
So, we need to, the foundational thing that we need to do, because we know for there to be thyroid functions, that the adrenal’s just like boom, got so tired, and had to lay down. So the first thing we need to do with thyroid function, is get those adrenals moving, get those adrenals going, and I want you to guess what you think is the first place to start. You might have heard me talk about it before, just a little bit. What do you think is the first place? Okay, okay, I won’t hold on to the suspense. It’s magnesium.
Now, I got an email this morning, and she said, “Kristen, I’m soaking in magnesium, and I’m exhausted.” So, we know that her adrenal horse didn’t just get tired, it actually laid down. And so, when the adrenals get that tired, and you put magnesium in, they get so excited to pull up the magnesium, that they drop their potassium, to pull up the magnesium, and then you feel worse. So, I’m seeing it happen more and more, like three, four years ago, I didn’t even have to talk about this, because it very seldom happened. And now, it’s happening more and more, as our adrenal thyroid combination of our horses, we’re pushing and pushing and pushing our adrenals more. And so … Oh, I should have had my little concoction.
Okay, so this was my little concoction that I drank this morning, and it was four ounces of grapefruit juice, with about 400 milligrams of potassium. It was a teaspoon of cream of tartar. It was a teaspoon of boron. It was a teaspoon acerola cherry power, and it was a packet, which I think is about a tablespoon, of E3Live. Now, all of those things are adrenal boosts, and a whole bunch of other things too. All of those things will help boost your adrenals. Now, if your adrenals are really tired, and magnesium is making you tired, you need to drink this little concoction at 10:00 and at 2:00, that’s when you’ll get the most out of it. Now, right now, for me, I don’t need it at 10:00 and 2:00. I like it first thing in the morning, and that’s where you kind of have to play with it a little bit, and figure out what works best for you. Oh, the other thing this had in, is salt, a little bit of good salt.
Yes, absolutely, Julie, it could be. Yes, because as our thyroid gets less functional, and creates more mucin, it goes from our deltoid, to under our chin, to back on our shoulder, and those are all signs of thyroid disfunction, and we need to pull those up. First thing we do to pull those up, is get our magnesium levels up. Get your magnesium levels up, and your little adrenal love, your little adrenal concoction, because it’s crucial that, as we’re focused on thyroid, that we’re pulling up those adrenals, because they went down first. You don’t have a dysfunctional thyroid without crashing your adrenals. So we’re making sure that we’re building those two horses, to work together side by side, so that they’re pulling the load together.
Then, once we’ve got that up, we’re soaking in magnesium, we’ve got our little drink going, we’ve determined, do we need it at 10:00 and 2:00, do we just need it in the morning, do we feel better with it at 10:00 or 2:00 …
Oh, Marilee has a great question. She says, “What does it mean if magnesium keeps me awake at night?” It means that your magnesium levels are moving up, boom, boom, boom, we’re dancing to that, yay, and that you adrenals are starting to really kick in, and do what they’re supposed to be doing. And so, you need to be change the times that you soak. And I know, it’s easier for a lot of people to soak at night, and at the beginning, when you’re soaking in magnesium, and you soak at night, it relaxes you, and you sleep better, and then, as your body starts to get enough, and it gets to the ATP energy, in the middle of your cell, that magnesium is a shot of energy, and you can’t go to sleep at night, so then you have to flip flop when you soak.
Okay, so Alison said, “It is common to have a spike of energy the first couple of days of starting the green drink, and then the energy tanks a bit? Not as low as usual, but much lower energy than the first couple of days.” Okay, Alison, I love this questions, and I’m so glad that Alison, and keep my updated on Ruby, Alison. So I love that question that Alison had, so she started her little concoction drink, and just oh my gosh, feels amazing. Here’s what I’ve found with women, and Alison this could, or might or might not be you. I don’t know. But here’s what I see, almost every time, what happens, and I call it being an upcycler.
So, for example, and this is a really extreme situation, and it’ll help us all go oh my gosh, at the same time, realize though, the reason we understand the story, is because, as women, we all do this. So, when you go oh, I understand that story, it’s because you’re playing the pattern along with the rest of us, as women. So, a woman came into my shop. Her husband carried her, literally carried her. Her head was hanging to the side. She didn’t even raise it. So we worked with them, gave them some things to do. She came back, I want to say two to three, maybe four weeks later, I don’t know, within a month, she came back within a month, walking into the shop, and I was like oh my gosh, this is amazing, I got to be a part of that journey. I love what I do. Pinch me. My life is real, kinda of moment, and I said to her, how are you doing?
Well, kind of an arrogant question on my part, because in my head, I already knew the answer, and that’s not a good thing to ask. And so, I was shocked when she went, oh, nothing has changed. And she just stood there. And I was like, nothing has changed? Are you serious? Your husband carried you in last time. Now, I didn’t say that out loud. I said that in my head. Like your husband carried you in. So, by this time, her husband had walked in, and I was so blown away, and did not know what to say to her, that I turned to him. And I said, talk to me, do you see a difference? ‘Cause in my head I thought, maybe I’m turning into this crazy woman, and I’ve confused her with somebody else, or something’s happened, because this is day and night difference. He started to cry tears, and he said, “She cooked dinner for the first time in years, for our family, and then the next day took it to the neighbors.”
Do you see what she did? So, her energy increased, and she increased her expectations of herself, therefore, not feeling the increase of energy, because she just expected more of herself. And as women, we do that. We upcycle our expectations. So we get feeling better, and now, instead of her goal being getting out of bed, her goal was to feed the neighborhood, because she felt better, and there were people who needed meals. And that’s a beautiful desire of her heart. We have to take it in incremental steps though. And so, many times, Alison, is what I see, is women upcycling, so they get feeling better, and then they change all their expectations, therefore not recognizing that place of creating more energy. So evaluate that one, and see if that’s a good fit for you.
So, let me go back here and see if there’s any … So, we want to make sure that we’re getting those adrenals taken care of, with our little concoction, determining if you need it once a day or twice a day, in the morning, or at 10:00 and 2:00, figuring out what works best for you, and then, and soaking in that magnesium. It’s the foundations of everything. So that’s our adrenal side. Remember, we’ve got that horse? Remember those carriage, and we’ve got two horses? And so, is what we need to do, so we worked on … that’s the adrenal horse, that we worked on. Now we need to work on …Where are we at time wise? Oh my gosh, we have one minute left.
Okay, now we need to work on the thyroid horse. Now we need to boost the thyroid. And so, boosting thyroid, there’s a couple of things we can do. We can add had some of it, had some good salt water, and minerals and the salt water are really good for thyroid. We need to get our iodine levels up. We need to get our vitamin C. I love the acerola, because of the copper core at the middle. It helps you convert from T4 to T3. We need to get our salinium up, five raw brazil nuts.
Jan, oh my goodness. Jan just invited me to talk about liquid magnesium. Jan, I love you. So many people, I feel like, when I start to talk about magnesium, go oh, woman, shut up, because I talk about it a lot. It is my passion, and it is, in my opinion, where you start to build your foundation, so that you’re creating help. I don’t chase symptoms. I didn’t get out of that wheelchair, and stop having seizures, and feeding tubes, and colostomy bags, and catheter, by chasing symptoms. I totally changed how I viewed my health, and I built a strong foundation. And that adrenal and thyroid, that carriage, is part of that strong foundation.
And so, I hope you’ve learned something, being here in class with me today. Every Wednesday, noon, mountain standard time, 30 minutes. You and I together. I love it. I want you, though, to recognize, sitting in a class, learning, isn’t going to change your health. What action are you going to take from what you learned today? Because here’s what happens, we scroll Facebook. We scroll social media, all of these recipes, all of these tips, all of these thoughts and ideas, and we just start getting overwhelmed, and we don’t do anything to create action, to actually get to that place of where we want to be with our health.
So, I want to know, what’s your action item from our call. There are 45 people, I can see that little number, there are 45 people on this call, which means there should be 45 action items, that are coming up in the note section- Oh, we just had a couple drop off. Oh, they just said nope, don’t want accountability. Here’s the thing, accountability is what gets you where you want to be. If you learn something that made sense to you, you need to create an action item from it.
So Julie says magnesium. We need to get those magnesium numbers up. Iodine, I love, for the thyroid side of that equation, I love iodine. Start topically through your skin, before you go orally, because when you start it orally, we need to make sure that we’ve got some pieces that are coming together.

Increase acerola, good salt and coconut water, twice a day to support adrenals. Put in that boron and that boost of E3Live. The trace mineral in the E3Live, with the boron, with the salt, with the acerola, and that little concoction, is amazing. It is amazing. A little tip, this morning I got up and brushed my teeth to kiss on my husband, and then I drank this. It’s nasty after you brush your teeth. It is nasty, nasty, nasty. I’m going to have Angie put it up like a little recipe, because I think that will be easier for people to find. So, today, we’ll put that up as a recipe, and we’ll put it over on the blog, because a few little tweaks to this, and it took it from really good to that changed my life, and I’ve been looking for years. So, it really, following the recipe in this, is really pretty incredible. So we’ll make like a little recipe card, and throw that over on the blog. Now, if you’re wanting it before that, there is a video on the blog of the Facebook live, where I talk about it. So it’s four ounces of grapefruit juice, one to two teaspoons of boron concentrate, one E3 live packet, a quarter teaspoon of salt, and a teaspoon of acerola, but we’ll put that up, so it’s really simple, for you to see.
I love you. Be healthy. You’re not alone. Is it hard? Yep, it is. Anything worth having, is worth hanging onto, and getting through the hard stuff. And I’ve been both. Make your own Boron: Boron Concentrate Recipe

Let’s talk magnesium and boron. I had a dear friend come in the shop today, she had arthritis, and I don’t know about you, but arthritis pain can slow me down. Remember, I’m not a doctor. I’m not prescribing, not diagnosing. I’m just sharing with you some things that I’ve done to get on top of my arthritis.
Some people, when they start this, don’t have great success. I couldn’t figure out why is it working for some people and not working for other people, and here’s what I learned: Magnesium and boron work together. If you just jump in and take your boron, it’s not going to be as effective if you don’t have your magnesium levels up. Boron will help your arthritis pain. In fact, many people experience more benefit from boron than they do from taking the prescription Celebrex.
Here’s my little boron concoction. I’m clear to the end, this used to be clear up here. I found the levels that worked for me. People with autoimmune need a little bit more boron than people that don’t have autoimmune. I do, so for me, two teaspoons of this concentrate in the morning and two teaspoons at night is fabulous, but it does not work as well if you don’t have your magnesium.
My goal was to be on today at noon, I don’t even know what time it is now, 7:00? Crazy busy day got away from me. Let me know where you’re from. I’d love to know. This is my time that I can answer questions. We’re really changing things up here at Living the Good Live Naturally, and I just have to be realistic that I am not able to keep up with all of the personal communication. These Facebook Lives are my way that you and I can interact with each other. If you do have a question or something that, I don’t know, maybe I could throw some light on, this is a great time to ask that question.
Shelley, I want to know, have you added boron? Boron is so crucial. The people that I see creating the most vibrant health that wake up feeling amazing are those that have hold on to grandma wisdom but stay current. I realize that’s the pattern that I want to have.
Heidi, I do not sell boron because it’s something that you can get at the grocery store very inexpensively. I have another Facebook Live video that we pulled it over and put it on the blog at Living the Good Life Naturally. That whole recipe for how I make this, it’s pennies. It’s literally pennies, and how I make it is over on that one.
Pam, you haven’t taken boron, either? When I went to get on here earlier it was a stressful day, through the roof stressful, but I wanted to honor my commitment that I would get on on Wednesday. I really didn’t know what to talk about. I was like, “Well, I’ll just talk about things that came into the shop today,” and now I’m really excited because boron is so crucial.

I did that boron video, and it was one of the most viewed videos that I’d ever done on Facebook Live so “I’m soaking in it this moment with magnesium.”
So let me tell you, these are our bath bomb bomb flops. We need a good name. Anybody have a good name for the flops on the bath bombs? They are bath bombs that have boron in them. You take a little bit in through your skin and you absorb it, but just a little bit.
Currently, our soils are becoming more deficient in boron, which means our food is becoming more deficient in boron. Boron holds magnesium in your cells. For example, because my boron levels are good, and they’re strong, today when the stress hit, I was able to be calm. Okay, a couple of times I wasn’t, but my reaction to the stress was better because boron helps me hold on to my magnesium when the stress hits. Super important for that.
Hailey, I love you so much. I don’t want to put you on the spot, I think Hailey has started on boron, so if you’re on the call right now I’d love to know if you’ve added it. Marilyn, I’d love to know if you’ve added boron, let me know if you’ve added boron because sometimes it’s just me going blah, blah, blah. We can tell if a video on Facebook is really serving people if there’s lots of shares, likes, and comments. That’s how we gauge it. If there’s a lot of them, then we pull that video from Facebook. After about three weeks, you can’t find it on Facebook, so we put it over on the blog so it’s still easy to find at livingthegoodlifenaturally.com. Today, I was concerned though because one lady came in, and said “Oh my gosh, I started that boron, and it made me so sick.” I’ve had that happen a couple of times, and so my question is always, “Why? Why does it work for some people and not for other people?” and then I realize we have individual chemistry. They were all dealing with the same thing, and here’s what I learned, with Boron you start with magnesium. I know I say that a lot. Start with the magnesium and boron. You do those together, and the boron will actually help with hormonal balance. Did you realize that? It’s so powerful, and costs pennies. It makes your soaking more efficient.
Here’s three things that I hear every single day of my life: Being healthy is too expensive, I’m tired, and I’m overwhelmed. We’ll add the fourth thing I hear everyday, your magnesium’s too expensive.
If you’ve ever had that thought that being healthy is so expensive, this is pennies to help you bring down inflammation and help your body hold on to magnesium and to help with hormones. If you just jump in and start doing the boron without the magnesium, it can give you grief.
Before I forget my one-and-done friend Shelley, she’s the one who taught me the best name for drinks. When I put all this stuff in my drink, one-and-done, Shelley’s knees are popping. Has anybody else have that, like when you stand up, your knees creak or pop, or people can hear you coming before they see you coming? That is your body giving you feedback if you know what your body is saying. Once I started learning about the feedback loop that my body was giving me and learning this language, it makes it so much easier to create health. When knees are popping, it’s a B12 deficiency.
We don’t want to just jump in and just take B12 because B vitamins come in a family. We need to take whole food B vitamins, add a B complex and add the B12. When knees are popping, B12 deficiency, and it’s crucial. In fact, there is such a good book called Could It Be B12. Love that book. Really powerful book.
Did you know, did you know post-partum depression is a B-12 deficiency. I struggled with post-partum sometimes after some my babies were born. If you see a mama that is starting to just not connect and bond, going into that lifeless face, get them B12. I have seen a change in 45 minutes. Now, I’m not saying it’s going to heal all post-partum, because you’ve just done given everything that you had to get that baby into this world, but adding that B12 can be a game-changer.
The shop is a chick shop because there’s flowers hanging, we’ve got good smells and bath bombs that have glitter, and sometimes we have glitter on our face. Sometimes when men come into my shop they’re kind of like, “Oh my gosh, this is a chick shop,” and then sometimes they’ll call me white witch doctor. I’m learning to be okay with that. You can kind of tell when they’re being dragged by their wife. They’ve heard, “Well, Kristen says,” and they don’t even want to meet me.
After a husband has had learned about that B12 and seen the change in his wife, I’ve had numerous come back teary and saying, “Thank you Kristen.” It’s like, I didn’t figure it out. I just read it and saw it work in lots of people. B12 is really important, it’s a game changer. Shelley, that’s the feedback loop.
I want to go back to boron though. So many people, especially women, have an addiction to cortisol. Now, cortisol is crucial. We need small amounts of cortisol dropped about four times a day, but here’s what we buy into. Stress because our house isn’t picked up, perfect and decorated like all the beautiful homes on Instagram. Stress because our kids didn’t do something perfect. Stress over a job, or stress that we didn’t have anything to wear. That’s all cortisol. Every time we get that stress, we pump up our cortisol.
Here’s the thing, it’s our own little secret-sauce addiction because for the moment, it clears up our head and gives us a little boost of energy for the short term. In the long term, when that cortisol spikes, magnesium gets pushed out. So boron to the rescue. Boron will help you hold on to your magnesium if you’re like me and it kind of spikes.

Boron is a mineral mined from the earth and it’s found in so many different foods, but with the way that we’re growing our foods the boron’s dropping. That’s why here at Living the Good Life Naturally, we have this philosophy that is to create health, you have to hang on to grandma wisdom and you have to stay current. You have to bring those two things together.
Grandma wisdom is things like drink water, early to bed, early to rise, eat your vegetables. Those are just the basic, foundational things that are never going to change. Grandma didn’t have to worry about magnesium though. She got it from her food. Grandma also got her boron from her food. It’s crucial that we stay current with what’s happening so that we can adapt those things as needed so we have optimal health.
I know beautiful Hailey is joining us from California. Hailey, I want to know have you ever driven through that Mojave Desert? Has anyone else? I know I’ve done that. As a little girl, we lived in California. We drove to Utah and went through that Mojave Desert. There is actually one of the largest deposits of boron there, it’s a mine. It’s a mineral that comes from the earth, but we’re losing it in our foods.
Oh you have been there Hailey. If you guys ever have the chance to stop, there’s actually a museum there. I stopped and the curator of the museum was so excited that I stopped. I don’t think many people stop, but I’m fascinated with boron because for me, someone who has osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, it’s a game-changer.
I wouldn’t be functional and I couldn’t live the life I’m living with boron. Just remember, you don’t just jump in and add all of this boron. You have to build your foundation of magnesium and then add the boron. It helps you hold on to the magnesium and it helps you decrease inflammation. It’s an anti-inflammatory and it balances estrogen levels.

Here’s the thing about too much boron. I don’t know how to say this politely, in a way that my mom would be so happy of how I said that online. My husband thinks it’s worse how I say it then the actual word. I was saying disaster pants, and he was like, “That is a worse visual than just …” So anyway, it can go through your stomach. You’re getting it, I see those laughy faces. You totally understand what I meant.
What’s a polite way to say that? Go through your stomach too fast? Anyway, you totally got that. I love it. My husband thinks that’s the grossest way to say it, ever. Everybody knows what it means when I say that.
Don’t drink too much of this. You’ll get disaster pants. Get what I mean? You have to start slow. Remember first we build our foundation with magnesium. Then on the boron, one teaspoon of the concentrate is approximately three milligrams of boron.
Now, I personally would never be comfortable going over 15 milligrams of boron. You wouldn’t start at 15 milligrams. You start at one teaspoon, which is approximately three milligrams. Guess what? It doesn’t taste good. It’s really bad.
Oh Heidi, just start with one teaspoon of boron. You can mix it in water, and I was doing that and taking it like a shot. Then I’d have to stand at my sink and think good thoughts, rub my throat, hold my head back and not gag. It was so bad. I don’t like doing that. I thought there’s got to be an easier way, so Shelley’s one-and-done came into my head.
Oh Sophie, you think it taste fishy? How interesting. I don’t think it taste fishy at all. That is so interesting. If anybody else has tried it and has, “It taste like …” throw it up there. We want to know what you think it taste like.
What I do with my boron is I start every single morning without fail with grapefruit juice because for me, it’s a superfood. That grapefruit juice thins my bile. I add the boron, add my blue-green algae, add some salt, add some cream of tartar. It’s this sh-boom of health for me. I add my boron to that morning drink and that’s my favorite way.
Oh Marilee. Are you serious? You think it taste like fish also? That is so interesting. I think we need to do a poll and find out because I don’t think it taste like fish at all.
I take some in the morning and some at night. The reason for that is we have 24 hours in a day and we have a 12-hour inflammation cycle. I want my inflammation down for 24 hours. That way I’m keeping my inflammation down all of the time.
Oh Teresa, that’s my experience is it taste like detergent smells. Some people think it really, Sophie, Soph, and Merilee feel like it has a fish taste, so very individual to your body chemistry what it taste like.
What I do is a boron dose twice a day because I want my inflammation cycle down all of the time. Does anybody here have arthritis? Give me a little heads up or a thumbs up or a smiley or something. If I only take it once a day in the morning, when I go to bed I get pain points at night. Iit wakes me up, so it is just a better fit.
A couple of you have arthritis. I’ve found that breaking up the dosage twice a day is 10 times more powerful than taking it once a day. Oh Anna says, “Yes, I’m not alone in this arthritis thing.” You know what I had to happen? Somebody was saying to me, “Kristen, how in the heck do you follow through?”
First of all, I don’t follow through 100%. Nope, that’s not my life. I do stay pretty strong like between 70 and 80%. I’m different when I’m on the road than when I’m at home. I realized the reason why is I’ve learned to let me pain motivate me. I realized I’d never been grateful for my pain. I did the most beautiful journaling session on gratitude for my pain because I’m not the type of person who would normally take really good care of myself. I do it to stay out of pain so I can run and play with grand babies. I realized I’d never said, “Oh my gosh, pain, thank you.” I know that sounds dorky and really drippy. It was a really powerful moment for me.
Which by the way, have any of you read Brené Brown’s new book Braving the Wilderness? I just finished it. She’s done it again, it’s so good. Totally worth buying it. I bought it on Kindle, a hold in my hand, and audible. That’s how good it is.
Hailey says, “I take boron with coconut water and cherry powder, cream of tartar, with a splash of orange juice.” I do mine with grapefruit juice. Now, I put some salt in there too because when you add that salt, it increases the voltage, and a decrease of voltage causes every disease. So Hailey, put a little bit of salt in there, so you’re getting potassium and all sorts of beautiful things.
It’s called Braving the Wilderness, Brené Brown. I’m telling you this is going to come true. One day, I’m going to meet her. I’m going to look into her eyes, she’s going to look into my eyes. It only has to last half a second. That’s all I need. I will stand in her presence. Seriously, I don’t know how. I’ve tried to buy tickets to her classes and they sell out like that. I’m not getting discouraged because I know miracles can happen. One day our eyes, they’re going to do this, and she’s going to feel my gratitude for all the beautiful principles and things. Oh I love it.  
Soph asked, “How much do you take morning and night?” One of the concerns I have about sharing how much I take is sometimes I’ve noticed that women will do exactly the same thing instead of adjusting it to their body. This is my disclaimer. I’m telling you how much I take. My body’s a little different than your body. I really want you to learn that connection of how to adjust it to your body. I take two teaspoons in the morning and two teaspoons at night. That’s six milligrams in the morning and six at night, so a total of 12 milligrams is a good fit for me. Now, for many people, that would be too much.
Oh my gosh, I totally forgot to talk about this because normally, I’m looking through the lens of women. That’s the predominant who I work with. Let’s talk about men and boron.
You know, us women have been having some hormone issues for quite some time. A lot of women experience hormone issues. Well, guess what’s happening? Remember we talked about grandma wisdom and being current? Currently, men’s testosterone is crashing. They do not have access to their testosterone. Boron, baby. In fact, are we all adults here? I think we’re all adults. If you’ve got little kids in the room, cover their ears.
It can improve your sex drive. Yeah baby. Boron. But you have to build your magnesium. You have to build that magnesium. You can tell on a man when his testosterone drops, his muscles in his face hang a little bit, and he won’t have toned or defined muscles. There’ll be no definition, they’re just kind of soft, and there’s no curve to the muscle. That’s a testosterone issue.
They’re kind of lifeless, and they just hop. A lot of the times, they go from job to job. They have a hard time sticking to things. They know they need to get some things done, but can’t really find that drive to get up and get it done. That’s a testosterone issue, and that’s not the only thing, but it’s a boron deficiency. Boron, boron, boron, but remember, you’ve got to build that magnesium first.
Oh fabulous, you got some of the coconut water. Yay. I forgot to order, and we didn’t have anymore. Yay, you got the coconut water. That’s that potassium, and our goal is 4,700 milligrams of potassium a day.
Boron is crucial in balancing hormones and really important for men. Super important for men. Now, we got some husband checking out going on. Yeah, check out that face. The other way you can tell is if his sex drive’s gone. That’s a testosterone issue and boron can really help with those hormones. That’s the most beautiful part of marriage. I can’t believe I’m talking about this on Facebook Live. We’re going to go to different topic because I don’t want any comments.
Hailey says, “How much salt?” Salt depends on your cortisol, so your stress levels. For example, today I did more salt than I’ve done in a long time. Just kind of piled, all this stuff happening. Because my cortisol went up, my salt needs went up too.
I’ll do it this way so you can see my new pretty ring. It’s kind of different than anything I’ve ever worn, but I like it. Your hands will be feedback on your salt intake. Some people, it will for ankles. Now for some of you, you won’t get that feedback from your body if you’ve trashed your adrenals to the deepest core level. Your body won’t tell you. It’ll puff a little bit, but remember, we want our blood to be as salty as the ocean. That salt helps build voltage. Literally going from chasing symptoms to building voltage is a life-changer for people. I’s a game-changer because it keeps it simple to create health.
Sophie says, “If I take the salt, cream of tartar, and acerola at night, will that keep me awake?” It might, and it might help you sleep. It’s one of those things.
We were laughing, Hailey and I California talking about the Utah trends verses the California trends. Alex and Ani are definitely a Utah trend, but tThis is me Bellabeat, and this is what I use to track my sleep.
There is also a Fitbit and it will track your sleep. There is an app, and the paid app is worth it. It’s freaking amazing on tracking your sleep, it’s called Sleep Cycle. It’s an orange one. It’s on Android and iPhone. Tracking your sleep is something I do every day. Then that way, as you take that at night, you can track your sleep to see if it’s affecting your sleep. Some people it will wake up and other people it will put to sleep, depending on how healthy your adrenals are. That’s what’s going to make the difference. Sometimes we don’t pick up on the nuances of what it’s doing, for example, it actually made our sleep a little bit worse, but because it was really subtle, we didn’t pick up on it. That’s why I’m a tracker. Oh that would be a good t-shirt. Boom. I’m a tracker. It’s worth it to me. I know it’s a little bit of work, but not a lot. I monitor and what you monitor gets better, and sleep is crucial.
Oh thanks. I’ve never worn anything that long and I thought it my bug me because it hit my knuckle. I’m kind of liking it and think it’s kind of it’s cute. Ignore the Barbie-pink nail polish. Not cute. You know how you think, “Oh I need a change.” Yeah, not to that. It reminds me of the Barbie Jeeps my little daughters used to drive.

Have you ever gotten tons of information, then you can’t remember it? I want you to remember because magnesium paired with boron is a game-changer. It’s building your foundation. I wanted to talk more about the benefits of it. Darcy, “Helps with pain and reduces inflammation.” Yay. Oh is it Kila? Am I saying it right? Tell me if I’m saying it right, it’s so important to say people’s names right.
The other thing, did anybody pick up that boron holds magnesium in your cells? For example, if you have a stressful day, and you’ve got good boron levels, it helps you not lose your magnesium through your urine. There’s another favorite word of mine to use on Facebook Live. It helps hold that magnesium in the cell and helps hormones. Remember that one, helps hormones.
We forgot one. Anybody have candida issues? If you’ve got a candida issue, you have a boron deficiency. Candida just, that goes hand-in-hand. If you’ve got a white tongue, that means you’ve got a boron deficiency. Tons of cravings? Boron deficiency. Do you see all the things, and it’s pennies. We do have to remember to make sure that we’re building the magnesium. Building that magnesium is crucial.

Facebook Live: Natural Hair Loss Solutions

Okay, natural hair loss solutions. Please understand I’m not a doctor, I’m not diagnosing, I am just sharing some things that worked for me. Little short backstory in that when I had my total and complete health crash I was having seizures, I was in a wheelchair, tubes, colostomy, it was bad, it was just bad. Let’s just say that, it was bad. One of the hardest emotional components for me was when I started losing my hair. Now that sounds crazy because I had lost bladder control, I had lost functionality of my body working, and the thing I was the saddest about was my hair when I started losing my hair. And so when I got asked this question I realized something about myself that you may have already known, I’m a talker not a writer. And so I told her, I said, “I can so do this on a Facebook live. It would take me hours to write it out where I can quickly cover it on a Facebook live.”

 

And so we’re not talking male pattern baldness here. So for example, if my cute little hubby hops on and says, “Is this gonna help me grow my hair back?” My answer to him is going to be no, absolutely not, it’s not going to. This is geared toward women who are losing their hair in clumps. And again, not a doctor, not diagnosing, just sharing what I did to get my hair back after my body went a little wacko.

 

So number one we need to bring in grandma wisdom. Grandma wisdom rocks. And sometimes we kind of forget about the grandma wisdom and we need to remember that. So sugar, this process and protocol and these layers that I’m going to give you aren’t going to work if you’re a sugar addict. You can’t counterbalance all the detrimental things that sugar is doing for your hair loss. And so just listen to everything though that filter.

 

Number two, adrenals are always a part of hair loss. So anything we do to nourish our adrenals is going to help the hair loss issue. Adrenals need magnesium. So you might have heard me talk about this. Soaking, doing a 30 day challenge in magnesium. That’s where you soak every day for 30 days. You’re going to miss a couple days, it’s okay. Get back on the next day and soak. 30 days, 20 to 45 minutes. Magnesium is crucial in nourishing adrenals. Magnesium is crucial in nourishing adrenals.

 

So I want you to have that filter that everything I talk about you don’t have to do all of the layers. Any layer that you add of what I share from now on will work better if your magnesium numbers are up. Everything in your body works better when your magnesium numbers are up. So committing to the 30 day challenge is one of the most important things that you can do to help restore and bring your body back into balance.

 

So a super simple thing that I have seen make a difference for people is when we are losing our hair our gut can actually be involved. And so when your gut is involved in that process anything we do to support digestion is crucial. One of my favorite products is carried by E3Live and it’s powdered enzymes. Now you’ll notice these are not in a pill, they’re not in a tablet, they haven’t been compressed, they’re powdered form. These are just my favorite. I see them create amazing things for people. Adding enzymes to help break down your food better to increase your digestion will actually help the hair loss. The cool thing is this helps a lot of other things too, hormones, sleep, energy, brain funk. So this can be a crucial component. So there’s one thing that you can do.

 

Now remember, as we go through this, you have a decision to make. Are you going to get overwhelmed with all the information or are you going to recognize, “I trust the fact and I’m going to find the very thing for me that puts me back into balance so my hair doesn’t keep falling out?”

 

So another thing is Bragg’s apple cider vinegar. I love Bragg’s apple cider vinegar. You can pick this up pretty much anywhere now. It used to be you could only go to specialty stores. Now there’s a certain way to do it though that makes it more powerful and that is if you will mix it about a teaspoon of Bragg’s apple cider vinegar to about a quarter cup of water and add a local honey local to your area. So here in Cache Valley we are so lucky we have Cox Honey and we have Slide Ridge Honey, and both of them are beautiful local honeys. Is what adding that local honey will do is number one you’ll be able to get it down because vinegar water to my water is not anyone’s favorite. I don’t know, maybe you love it, but the honey helps you to get it down, it makes it a little bit more palatable to take in.

 

And the other thing that it does is hair loss is related to high cortisol levels, your stress levels. And so the honey in with all the good enzymes and minerals in the apple cider vinegar, the honey is dropping the cortisol out of your blood and that’s a beautiful thing. And so adding that honey into that mixture is crucial.

 

Now there are some people in my family who shall remain unnamed that just cannot get this down. And if you’re not going to get it down it doesn’t matter how many times you think about it, read about it, set your intention about it, go to the store and buy it, it’s not going to make a difference. And so there is an apple cider vinegar pill that I picked up at Natural Grocers. Now I went to go grab it so I could show you and I gave it away to somebody who needed it more than I did. So I’m going to describe it. It’s at Natural Grocers. It’s the one in the icy blue bottle, really pretty icy frosty blue with a yellow lid. And it’s an apple cider vinegar pill. Now does it work as well as this? No, it doesn’t, does not work as well as this. But if you’re not taking this because it tastes so nasty that apple cider vinegar pill is a great option. It’s a great option. So this is option A and the apple cider vinegar pill is option B.

 

Now remember that honey we talked about? So let’s take that into other areas of your life. So for example maybe you use the My Miracle Tea or you have some kind of drink that you love to drink. Mix a little bit of honey in that and the honey will help lower the cortisol levels because hair loss is always connected to high cortisol levels. And sometimes we’ve been doing it so long that our cortisol isn’t high anymore, we’ve burned it out and it’s tanked. The honey is still beneficial, and so that’s a really beautiful thing. So that can really help with the hair loss.

 

Another thing that can help in supporting adrenals is cordyceps. This is a really … Oh Brad, I’m so excited, you’ve been soaking, that is great. So excited. So cordyceps are really good to help support adrenals. And remember, if you’ve got hair loss going on, if your hair is coming out in clumps it’s an adrenal issue. Now a lot of times people will say, “Well I have hair loss because of this,” or, “I have hair loss because of this,” and they’ll give it a name. It still had adrenal issues involved in it. So we’ve got to support those adrenals. And so cordyceps can be a really beautiful way to support people’s adrenals.

 

Now another layer, and remember, well you can choose, you can go into overwhelm with all the information or you can go, “Oh, there’s lots of layers and I’m going to choose the one that’s best for me.” Another layer that I love is building a stronger Omega-3 6 fatty acid balance. So when your hair’s coming out it can indicate that you have too many Omega-6’s and not enough Omega-3’s. And so we want to build those Omega-3’s. Now the beautiful thing about building that is you just start to feel better. In fact I had a lady that came in the shop and she said, “I’m just not sure what I’m doing. This has gotten better, this has gotten better, this has gotten better.” Well she was soaking in magnesium and then she’d added cod liver. And so between those two things it had made a huge difference for her. Yes, you feel the difference when you start adding those layers that are foundational because I don’t chase symptoms. That overwhelms me and exhausts me. I don’t chase symptoms. I build a strong foundation.

 

Okay, so another thing that I want to talk about is your T4 T3 conversion, T4 T3 conversion. Did you know that happens in your liver? That is totally a liver thing.

 

Okay, so [Shara 00:09:50], oh I hope I said that correct, Shara, is there such a thing as a shampoo hair care doing this? Seems like you just wash it down the drain. Okay so definitely the quality of the products that you use. I love the Loma products. They’re a sulfate-free … They’re just a really nice small company that makes a beautiful shampoo. Usually though Shara it’s an internal. So the shampoos and things that we put this way are dealing with the external but the problem started internally. And so we’ve got to work from the inside out. That’s the way that I like to work, from the inside out so that I’m pushing everything this way and stimulating that good hair growth and making sure that my hair’s not coming out in clumps.

 

So that T4 T3 conversion is crucial. And you’ll know, you can actually … Now this isn’t across the board but a lot of people you can actually find out how your T4 T3 conversion is going if you look down and you’ve got some extra weight around your middle. That is a decrease T4 T3 conversion. So think of T4 like Eeyore and T3 like Tigger. And we need the energy happening.

 

So Brad says, “Hope it’s not too off topic but I have reoccurring uric acid kidney stones.” Oh, you know what Brad? As soon as I’m done this specific Facebook live I’m doing for a lady, because I told her it was easier for me to talk it than type it, and so at the very end of this let’s absolutely, let’s talk about that Brad. Yeah, we’ll talk about that.

 

So that T4 T3 conversion issue, it shows up as low energy, it shows up as thyroid issues, it shows up as hair loss, it shows up as candida issues, and we need that T4 converting to that T3. So my very favorite way to do that is the acerola cherry powder. This is the most powerful thing that I’ve ever found to convert T4 into T3. And the reason is the copper ion in the middle. Now this cherry powder, the reason that we went to the effort to even bring it in and import it is because it’s grown in a permaculture system. So a permaculture system has more nutritional support. You can grow food in a soil and even though it looks like the same food it doesn’t have the nutrient value. A permaculture system shuttles nutrients in its ecosystem in the soil, and so the nutritional quality of the food goes through the roof. And so this is grown in a permaculture system.

 

And then the second thing that makes it different is the way it’s processed. If you process that cherry, the acerola cherry, and it’s a little berry like thing, if you process that at high heat you lose the copper ion. And then if you throw in tons of maltodextrin you’ve got maltodextrin punching holes in your gut, not the benefit of that copper ion in the maltodextrin. So there’s like numerous reasons why this is my favorite. That T4 T3 conversion. In fact [Sherry 00:13:35] who just hopped on was the one who gave me this tip because my kids are all grown and launched, and she has kids in her home, and it’s not my favorite taste I have to tell you. Some people like it, I don’t care for this one. And so Sherry came up with a brilliant way to get it down her kids and it’s a powder and she mixes it with honey. So she’s putting two super foods together, one that’s got the sweetness, the other that has a tartness, mixes them together and kids just take it right off the spoon. So I thought that was brilliant and I literally think of her every day because I’m telling people that all the time. They’ll come back and go, “Oh my kids love it that way.”

 

And the other beautiful thing about the whole food vitamin C is part of the reason that hair’s falling out is because of the liver. And so that whole food vitamin C is not only helping to clean up the candida but it’s restoring the balance in the liver that broke down. Now this Facebook live we don’t have enough, we’re not going to go into detail of all the steps that broke down. It is crucial that we mend that and one of those steps is the zinc copper. And so the acerola cherry powder, not only is that whole food vitamin C, but helps restore the zinc copper.

 

Oh, let’s talk about another thing that is does. So remember we talked about any time there’s hair loss we’ve got tired adrenals? We need better adrenal support. So your body takes the acerola cherry powder and creates collagen with it. And as we get older collagen starts to drop in our body and you can tell on your face. Like as you start to age it’s because your collagen levels are dropping. And so that’s another benefit of the acerola cherry powder is you start to see the difference in your skin. My skin looks better now than it did 10 years ago even though I’m 10 years older obviously. That was kind of dumb. So the acerola cherry powder gives your body a building block for your adrenals to sit in and be supported so they work better that way too. So just lots of things going on for hair loss with the acerola cherry powder.

 

Okay, so I think … Oh, we talked about cordyceps, supporting adrenals though cordyceps. Oh, let’s go to some grandma wisdom, okay? Grandma wisdom. Water. If you’re not washing and flushing your body with good hydration all throughout the day you’re walking away from just grandma wisdom. So we sometimes we forget those basic things and we want to look to all these other things to find the solution. And we just need to get our butts back to grandma wisdom. And on this one grandma wisdom is don’t stay up till 1:00 in the morning, it’s trashing your adrenals. And drink that water and make sure that you’re properly hydrating and nourishing your body with water.

 

So for the sweet lady who asked for help on losing hair we covered a lot of things. But remember, everything works better with magnesium. And so getting that magnesium in, I can’t tell you how many people will come in and say, “Oh I tried this one thing you talked about but it didn’t work for me.” And I’ll say, “Did you start with magnesium?” You have to start at the beginning and the first place that it went off was the magnesium. And so bringing the magnesium levels back in is absolutely crucial in making sure that hair loss is slowing down and not in the process of just getting worse. Because as your body loses that hair it’s your body giving you feedback, “Hey, we got a problem.” And so if you address that problem all sorts of other things get better. Your sleep will get better, your hormones will get better, we’ll just have all sorts of stuff. So there was the question for the lady who asked about hair loss because I’m a talker, not a writer. Much easier for me to talk it than it is for me to write it, which is why I do Facebook live versus blog posts.

 

Okay, so Brad, let’s get back … Oh, [Christy 00:18:01] has a question. Christy [Paskett 00:18:03]. Hi Christy. “How many times a week are we supposed to soak?” So Christy, here’s what I recommend in that the first time do a 30 day challenge. Do the 30 day challenge. Soak every day for 30 days. Let’s get your magnesium levels up. We know that sugar, stress, refined carbs, smoking, alcohol all decrease magnesium levels. And so do the 30 day challenge, soak every day for 30 days, and then evaluate. And some people need to soak three times a week, other people only need to soak once a week. It really depends on your lifestyle.

 

And I’m pretty convinced that as women we have allowed ourselves to become addicted to cortisol. It’s a short term fix that helps us in the short term but takes us down in the long term. And it’s through cortisol, through stress, and we use the stress to give us energy to get through the day. But when we have the stress that pushes the magnesium out through our urine. And so it depends how addicted you are to that cortisol to getting you through the day how fast you burn through your magnesium. So that’s why there’s not a standard answer to that, Shara. I can’t say, “Soak twice a week.”

 

Now I have autoimmune. I started getting diagnosed with autoimmune in my early teens. I’ve been diagnosed with numerous autoimmune. And people with autoimmune burn through their magnesium faster. So I have to take that into consideration. So I don’t know about Brad, Brad jumped on. Brad may not have autoimmune. My burn rate of magnesium is probably going to be higher than Brad’s because he doesn’t have autoimmune. My burn rate is higher than my husband’s because he doesn’t have autoimmune and he doesn’t stress about things. And so you really, after that 30 day challenge, I like to get the magnesium RBC tested so you know exactly where your magnesium is and then you can evaluate from that number. I got mine back and I’m a 6.9. Between 6.3 and 7 is where we want to be, and I just got mine back at a 6.9 so I was really happy. And so doing the 30 day challenge, paying to have that magnesium RBC test done will help you evaluate your individual burn rate.

 

Now I run a group of women online that we meet once a week called Project Radiate, and I actually have them do the 30 day challenge, do the magnesium, back off their soaking and determine, okay, one soak a week to three soaks a week, and then retest, because that will tell them did that three soaks a week lift your magnesium, did it stay the same, or did it drop it? And so then you’re going to have feedback right in your hands with a lab test of your individual magnesium burn rate. And it’s really powerful when women determine and discover their magnesium burn rate. It just turns a light on and they have this deep connection with themselves. So there’s a little tip for those of you that want to go deeper.

 

So Shara said, “Do these ideas work for autoimmune disease such as lupus?” I was diagnosed with lupus. Shara, do you have the butterfly rash? The butterfly on your cheeks? I was diagnosed with lupus when I was probably 14 or 15 I think. I was living in southern Utah with my family. And I have no symptoms from lupus whatsoever. Now I do have some symptoms from some other autoimmune, but lupus I’ve totally, I conquered that one. And so yes, all of those suggestions are powerful when it comes to autoimmune. And here’s the really cool thing about autoimmune because it can be overwhelming to chase autoimmune symptoms, like because there’s a lot of symptoms. If you just build your foundation strong you start just knocking out those autoimmune things. You just boom, knock it out, boom, knock it out, boom, knock it out. Oh, that was kind of like a song I was singing.

 

Anyway, so as you build a strong foundation it starts to take care of all the symptoms, and then that way you’re not chasing all these symptoms and trying things that don’t work. Raise your hand if you’ve ever tried something that didn’t work. And then you try the next thing and you try the next thing and then you get frustrated and give up and eat cake for three weeks. And then you try again and then it doesn’t work. And I call that just the stop start cycle, and it’s killing people. It’s literally killing people. And so that’s why I do the three day class.

 

Ooh, if anyone, we have a three day class coming up in St. George in September, the three day stop starting over, and then we also have our three day class here in Cache Valley in February I believe that’s come up. Both of those are on the website LivingTheGoodLifeNaturally.com and we’re so excited. We are going to the San Francisco area and we’re setting up a class in the San Francisco area. Right now I’m working with a lady there and so I’m going to fly into San Francisco and teach that class, that three day class in San Francisco. So if you’re in those areas and you’d like to participate in that three day class it’s the foundation. It’s the foundation of what you need to build a strong body so you don’t have to chase symptoms. So let’s go back. Brad had a question that I wanted to make sure I was staying on track for that lady on hair loss. But Brad had a question that I promised him I’d answer at the end. He has reoccurring uric acid kidney stones. Can you recommend anything? They are miserable. Miserable. So high uric acid means high inflammation. When you have high uric acid that means your body is not feeling good. And so Brad when you got on you shared with me that you were soaking in magnesium and that is where you start to bring inflammation down.

 

Now another thing that we can do to keep inflammation in check is boron. Boron is crucial to keeping inflammation in check when it comes to high uric acid. And so I’ve done a Facebook live video and it’s called magnesium + boron. And so you can go back and reference that boron and magnesium video and it will show you how I make my boron to get in my body. And let me tell you I wouldn’t be able to move out of bed without magnesium and boron. I have osteo and rheumatoid arthritis, and it gets me. And if those two things fall I’m in so much pain I can’t move. And the other day I realized something. Okay, I’ll share this and then I’m gonna go. Sorry, this ended up being way longer than what I anticipated.

 

So I realized something about myself and I was able to have gratitude for my pain. And I don’t think I’ve ever had that before. So a dear person in my life that I just love and is such a support to me was not remembering to do the supplements and morning routine and stuff that made a difference. And so I thought, “Ooh, I want to help her. I so want to help her.” So I just sent a funny snap. Like don’t you love those SnapChat filters like the puppy dog tongue? So I just send her like the rabbit nose and, “Take your supplements. [Hair 00:26:13]!” One of them I said, “If you want your hair tomorrow take your supplements today.” Just little silly things just to remind her to take those supplements. And it was so interesting to me because the one day I forgot, and so I usually was snapping her in the morning and I didn’t snap her till late at night.

 

And I was like, “Oh my gosh.” I’m in pain. The pain had set into my hands and I was really hurting and I was like, “Okay, I’m gonna go drop into bed.” And I realized, because I have people ask me that all the time and I’ve never had an answer for it. “Kristen, how do you stay on top of what you do?” And I realized in that moment I am motivated by my pain. I don’t like to have pain therefore I take really good care of myself to avoid the pain. So my question for you as we end this time together, what motivates you? What’s your motivator? Now for you it might not be pain. Now Brad, it sounds like it is pain for you, it sounds like you and I have got the same thing goin on there, and that pain is a motivator for you. Are you using that motivator to help you follow through so that you’re not in that pain, you’re walking away from that pain?” And so in that moment I had such gratitude for my pain because it’s my little daily constant remind. I wake up in the morning and most of the time I remember to follow through on my morning routine because I don’t want to have pain that day. And I’ve figured out and tweaked the foundation from what my body needs to walk me away from that pain.

 

Now does that mean I never have pain? Absolutely not. There are some days that okay I need to tweak. If I eat too much corn my pain goes up. Corn is not a friend to arthritis. And so there are things that I need to do to be accountable for to walk away from that pain. But you need to figure out what motivates you, what motivates you. And sometimes it’s a positive. I love my grand babies, I want to climb trees with my grand babies and run down the ocean. That motivates me to take care of myself so that I can live that way. Pain is a negative and it also motivates me and I’m okay with that because it motivates me to take care of myself so that I can create those things in my life that I want to.

 

So hope that that helped about the hair, hope that our time together was beneficial. Hope it helped remind you that there’s good things out there, but you’ve got to invest in yourself, you have to invest in the time, you have to invest in the tools that your body needs. Think of your car. You get the oil changed in your car all the time, like every 3,000 miles or 5,000 depending on the age of the car. Your body is worth so much more than that car. And you need to make sure that you’re investing in it and maintaining it and taking care of it so you can live that rocking lifestyle, love on those people that you’re meant to love with, and do all those great things that are in your heart.

Three of our magnesium sell and warehouse just stocked us back up again because we were totally out but couple things I wanted to share with you. Today while supplies last, it might be tomorrow too, I’m not sure, we have this beautiful little organic cotton wick honey beeswax candle. I love these. I realized I do this, but I don’t know if I’ve talked to you about it. I put in a quarter cup of baking soda and a quarter cup of Epsom salts. The Epsom salts will have sulfates which the magnesium chloride does not. The baking soda will help the magnesium get to the mitochondria where it affects the telomeres. That’s where the real magic happens of magnesium. Two really simple ways that you can utilize and supercharge that magnesium soaking that you’re doing because August is back to magnesium.

 

We need to focus in the month of August, get our magnesium levels up. One soak in August is worth three soaks in the winter because our vitamin D is higher in the summertime. Now is the most effective time. Really think about it. It’s on sale too right now. Warehouse just stocked us back up. I don’t know if it’ll last until the end of the week though. Facebook Live: Magnesium and how I take boron.

Welcome. My name is Kristen Bowen, and I am living the good life naturally. Quick little disclaimer, and a little bit about me before I go into magnesium and candida, so that you have an understanding of where I’m coming from.

 

In 2000 I had a total and complete health crash. I was having up to 40 seizures a day, I was in a wheelchair, I was being fed through a tube, I had a catheter. It was awful. Lost my hair. That was the worst, lost my hair. So, western medicine gave up on me, and it was in the process of taking my own power back that I was able to create better health for myself, and now I have this business called Living the Good Life Naturally, sharing with other people what I learned. I didn’t create better health by thinking inside the box, I had to step outside of the box. Now, for me, it took a total and complete health crash to get me to do that. I recognize not all of you watching this video are wanting, or even looking, to think outside of the box, but this is for those of you who are willing to look outside of the box.

 

And for those of you that struggle with candida, because we know that the toxins, just the toxins from the candida, can take our energy down, and make it so that we’re not waking up in the morning feeling awesome with energy. And when you wake up going, “Ugh, how am I gonna make it through this day? Five more minutes. Five more minutes,” you’re not waking up sharing your gift, serving those people that you love, and connecting with those people that you love. When you wake up with energy, your first thoughts are, “What can I do today? What can I create today? And how can I connect?” And it’s just a life changing, was a life changing difference for me.

 

So today our entire focus will be on magnesium and candida. So, yeast infections, if you’re getting yeast infections, if you go to the mirror and put your tongue out and you’ve got white all over your tongue, or a great big long crack, that’s a way that your body is saying, “We’ve got some candida overgrowth.” So candida grows when we drink chlorinated tap water, when we have sugar, when we have stress, when we have hormones that aren’t balanced. But this video today is prompted by my friend Julie who sent me a text, and she said, “Kristen, I feel better soaking in the magnesium, there were some benefits. But there were some downsides too.” And as what would happen was, her candida, she felt like, would flare.

 

Well think of magnesium, when you’re soaking in the magnesium and getting to cell saturation, because that’s our goal with magnesium, is to be at cell saturation, where every cell is surrounded. That’s when the real magic of magnesium happens. And so, the way to do that is to do the 30 day soaking challenge, and then evaluate your personal individual boxy chemistry. And so, is what was happening when Julie was soaking was, she would get some flareups of candida. Well, that happens quite often when people have candida, but if you know what to do next you can make it so that you’ve got a better balance of candida. Because you never completely get rid of candida, you always have some candida. It’s a matter of balance going on in your body.

 

And so, is what I wanted to share with Julie, I thought, “Hmm, maybe that would make a good video.” So, now remember, I was willing to think outside the box, you may or may not be, okay? So I’m not saying you have to do this, I’m not a doctor, I’m not diagnosing, I’m not prescribing. I am sharing with you something that costs pennies, that you may already have in your house, and made a life changing difference at clearing up my constant candida issues. And that is, when I would soak I too would get candida flares, until I added a co-factor for magnesium.

 

Now, magnesium is like my marriage, I am better with my husband. I think better with him, I laugh more when I’m with him, I just work better with him. He fills in all my spots. We’re better together. Magnesium works better in a team, and one of the players of that team is boron. Now, for many people, they can get enough boron from chia seeds. Chia seeds have boron. Boron is a great nutrient, because it holds the magnesium in our cells and it kills off candida, and that’s a good thing. So, chia seeds weren’t enough boron for me though, I needed more boron. So, I had a decision to make.

 

Now, many of you, if you’ve driven down that Mojave Desert, and there’s that boron mine where they mine the boron, you’ll see that in that Mojave Desert. Here’s what happens; boron is a mineral that’s in the ground, and they mine it from the ground, and then some of it goes in a box, and some of it goes in a supplement. When they put it in a supplement, sometimes they add some other things so that they can encapsulate the boron in a pill, and then they put it in a little gelatin tab. Well, most of us have decreased digestion, and so we’re not uptaking that boron very well because of what they have to add into it to get it to go into the capsule with the machine.

 

So remember, the boron all comes from that mine. Some of it goes in the supplement, they charge you like 3,000% markup, some of it goes in a box. The box, and this is where we’re thinking outside the box, the box is 20 Mule Team Borax; it’s a cleaner. And the reason it’s labeled as a cleaner is because it changes the pH, and that’s what it does in your body too. So, I don’t buy the supplement that goes in the gelatin pill, that’s had additives added to it, that’s been marked up super high; I go to the cleaning supply. Now, I’m not saying you have to do this. I don’t want any e-mails telling me how crazy it is. Well, you can send them, but I’m not gonna reply to them. I got too many things to do, and too many people to love on.

 

I will share with you though, how I take mine, even though that box says, “Harmful if swallowed and ingested.” I know it says that. It’s that mineral that’s mined from the earth. So, is what I do, is I take a teaspoon … I don’t know if you can see that. Can you see that? Give me a thumbs up, can you see that powder in there, anybody? We’ve got a couple. Christina, can you see that powder that’s in there? Anyway, I’ve got a rounded teaspoon of boron right here, okay? Rounded teaspoon of boron in my little pretty container. And I also have a quart of the best water I could get … Oh, you can’t see it? Okay, you gotta trust me on this one, it’s a rounded teaspoon of 20 Mule Team Borax, right there. And I’ve got my quart of the best water. We don’t want tap water, we want it at least filtered, good spring water, the best water you can get your hands on.

 

So you’re gonna take your water, you’re going to add, okay … Oh, I hope you can see that. I’m pretty sure you can see that. So I added my 20 Mule Team Borax, that remember is a mineral, it’s mined from the earth, and I’m going to shake it. Shake it, shake it. And it takes … We’ll do the shake dance. Oh my gosh, it’s leaking on me. Put the lid on tight. Put the lid on tight while you shake, or you get a little boron wash. Okay, so you shake, shake, shake. So we’re just gonna pretend that I just shook that for six minutes, ’cause I don’t wanna do a livestream of me shaking boron, but it takes about six minutes. See how with … Oh, can you see how on there you’ve still got some sediment? You wanna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, like [inaudible 00:08:31]. That’s my boron shake. You wanna shake it until that’s totally gone.

 

And then that, right there, becomes your boron concentrate. This is your boron concentrate. Now, too much of a good thing is not a good thing. Boron’s incredible, in fact, the last couple days in the shop, oh my gosh, we’ve had … I’ve shared with people, and they were willing to think outside the box, and they tried some, and it’s so interesting. If someone’s got pain, they’ll take the boron and then they’ll stand there and they’ll start, like, moving their shoulder, and you can tell they’re doing this body scan. They’re checking their fingers, and moving their back, and doing all this, because the pain goes down while we stand there and talk. That’s how fast it works. Boron is also, it reduces inflammation, and if you have pain you have inflammation.

 

And so, the boron can be that powerful for people. It’s incredible. We’re not getting what we need from our soils anymore, our soils are deficient in boron, and boron plays in that magnesium family, and magnesium works better when you have boron. So for Julie, who was soaking in the magnesium and that candida flares would get worse, her body was saying, “Hey, I need some boron.” Because boron also balances candida, and brings it down.

 

Okay, we’ve got some questions coming in. Christina, “So easy and cheap, I drink two teaspoons twice a day, to equal about 12 milligrams of boron.” Excellent. Because here’s the thing, too much boron is not good. So, the Day brothers, when you google the Day brothers, say, “Don’t go over 20.” I’m not comfortable going over 15. That’s what I do good, like Christina, at two teaspoons in the morning of the concentrate. So does that make sense? So one teaspoon of the concentrate, you’re not gonna drink this all day long, one teaspoon of the concentrate is equal to approximately three milligrams of the boron. So one teaspoon of this concentrate equals approximately three milligrams of boron. So I do two teaspoons in the morning and two teaspoons at night. I don’t know what’s a good balance for you. You’ve gotta play with that, you have to discover that. Start with three milligrams, build up. I’ve been giving people just three milligrams in the shop, and they feel it. They’re like, “Oh my gosh, the pain is going down.”

 

And so, when we’re soaking in magnesium and we’re getting a candida … Okay, I can’t … I’ve got an issue with my screen, with the new iOS 10, and I don’t know how to get rid of it. Okay, so when we’re soaking in magnesium, and you are getting a candida flareup, that means your body is saying, “I need more boron. I need boron to help balance,” because the magnesium’s going, “Oh, let’s get rid of the candida.” And this is super overly simplified, but the magnesium’s going, “Let’s get rid of this candida,” bringing it up, letting it go, but then your body doesn’t have enough boron to finish the process. And so, if you’re soaking in magnesium and you’re getting candida flareups, it’s your body going, “Hey, bring on the boron.” And so, that’s a really simple way.

 

Okay, so Jessie has a question, and she says, “Do you mix the concentrate with more water to drink it?” Jessie, you can, absolutely. I don’t personally, but you can. I just drink it straight. I just drink just the two teaspoons in a little glass, but some people need to mix it in, because it does have a little off taste. It’s not bad, it’s not … Like, the acerola cherry is my hardest thing to get down, it’s got that bitter/sour quality. The boron’s not hard for me to get down, but if it helps you to mix it in a little bit of water and drink it, go for it.

 

Okay, so Lorrina says, “Do you dilute it in water?” So, I don’t, but you can Lorrina. If it helps you to get that down, dilute it in water. “Flare up, like today, I feel miserable and achy,” Sonya. Boron. In fact, Sonya, if you’re in Cache Valley, in Logan, come in the shop and I’ll give you some. I have a really pretty glass. I have this really pretty, it’s a little fluted glass, that I’ll even serve you your little boron. Oh, in fact, hold on, I have to show you. How pretty is that? Like, boron should be taken in a beautiful glass, and I have the pink lipstick mark on there to prove that this was my boron glass. You don’t have to take boron in a pretty glass, but this is how we take our boron, we like to do things elegantly. We’d put our finger up, anyway. So funny.

 

So, boron is crucial. And if you are having a flare up, if you’re feeling achy, if you’ve got inflammation, you need boron to support the magnesium. And here’s the other thing that happens. So, with that candida you’ve got to make sure that you’re drinking enough water to flush it out of your system, and so many times when we get achy and when we’re not feeling good, we lose sight of those really simple, basic things that we need to do. So, Sonya, drink some, you know, make sure your water … Not too much, we don’t wanna wash electrolytes out, but make sure your water intake is up. And I personally, I’m not telling you what to do, but I, on days that I’m achier, and I’m just feeling a little … I will up my boron, and it almost always helps. At least 50%, and sometimes 100%.

 

So fun, I love it. So more boron on board today. Oh, you’re in Wyoming. Okay, so Sonya, get a beautiful glass, I think this is from IKEA, and put your boron in and then sip your boron, and then celebrate like crazy that you’re doing such good things for your body. But anytime I have a flareup, a candida flareup, an arthritis flareup, any type of pain going on in my body, I will offset that with some boron. But don’t go too much. Too much boron is not a good thing, and so we don’t wanna do too much.

 

And so, I just wanted to share that question that Julie had, that the magnesium, she goes, “It’s making it worse.” No, it’s … I guess my filter is different. It’s not making it worse, it’s your body communicating to you, if you understand what it’s saying, “I need more boron.” So for example, the other thing that happens when people soak, and their heels start to crack like crazy, well, that’s your body communicating, “I need more omega-3’s.” And so, do you see how you just have to understand that communication that’s going on.

 

But candida, it’s so you … Candida people tend to have lower boron levels, and so if we can get you soaking in that magnesium, opening up that pathway of detoxification, and then adding the boron; oh my goodness, magical things start to happen, and you start to feel better. And when you start to feel better, you love on those people a little deeper, and you dream a little bigger, and you start creating all these beautiful things in your life. And that’s what I want for you.

 

So, I am going to mentally have a little party with Sonya today, she’s in Wyoming, I’m in Logan, and we’re gonna take our boron and we are going to know that that boron is also holding magnesium in ourselves. Because when we get high stressed, the high stress levels, the magnesium gets pushed out through our pee. And so, when we have adequate levels of boron it holds that magnesium in the cell, so your body can take the magnesium and signal all of the things that it needs to signal.

 

So, candida flareup during magnesium soaking could be your body saying, “Give me so me more boron.” And so, join me with a little beautiful boron shot. And you know what? It’s okay if you’re not comfortable doing the 20 Mule Team Borax, no problems, because it does say right on the box, “Harmful if ingested.” I had to think outside of the box to reclaim my health. You can get boron from chia seeds, so if you’re drinking chia seeds that’s a great way that you can get boron. I believe dates are also a good food source of boron, but there can be a little problem there because the dates can feed the candida, until you’ve got that better balance, so be careful on that one.

 

Facebook Live: Decrease cortisol and experience energy

You want more energy, right? That’s one of the reasons that drives you to eat healthy, be healthy, exercise. You want more energy. I’ve been trying to figure out a way, how could I teach this? How could I teach this? In my classes, I do over a three day period, and they get it, but how can I do it quickly and easily on Facebook? I think I came up with a way.

 

Now remember, the story I’m about to tell you probably isn’t your story, but it’s the principle behind it, that’s what I want you to take away. Imagine boom, boom, boom, that we’re coming into Living the Good Life together. Boom, boom, boom, do you see this? Do you see this? Oh my goodness, like look, look. It was really busy last week, and the plants totally need to be trimmed. They’re totally in your way.

 

Now it’s so interesting, when little kids come in, they’re like, “Oh, it’s a magical forest,” and adults were coming in completely irritated. Your body doesn’t know the difference between being under attack and irritated. Now, for those of you that had to walk through my jungle forest, I am so sorry and my son’s here today to help me get it taken care of.

 

They handed their energy over to irritation. Irritation increases cortisol, leaks your magnesium, and decreases your energy. It can take up to 12 hours to get on line. Your body doesn’t go, “Oh, that was a little irritation.” It goes aggravation, same as little irritation. See, look just right here, boom, little teeny irritations. So, we’ve got to learn how to manage our magnesium levels. That’s why we call it a magnesium mindset.

 

When you’re low in magnesium, you overreact to things, “Ah, yikes,” therefore losing the very magnesium that you need to be healthy. You have to take the soaking in magnesium and taking on the magnesium mindset, and ask yourself this question, will it still irritate me in five seconds? Will it still irritate me in five days? Will it still matter in five months and five years?

 

Sometimes just asking yourself that question will help you recognize first world problem, I’m walking away from it. So super excited to start my day today. Really excited to have a son come and help me get rid of the bush here that was irritating so many people when they walked in the shop. We realized oh man, we have really thrown people for a loop. Not our intent, just a super busy week. We all get irritated. It’s our reaction to the irritation that either walks us toward health or away from health.

 

Remember, there is no supplement to offset high cortisol. There is no food plant that offsets high cortisol.
